艺术创作

成都画院（成都市美术馆）成立35年来，始终坚持把繁荣艺术创作，造就艺术人才，促进成都美术发展，作为工作的中心，以“立足传统、传承文脉、放眼世界、张扬个性”作为基本艺术理念，形成了“多元并存、求同存异、和谐共生”的良好学术氛围，各个画种、各种流派、各种思想自由表现，艺术家们兼收并蓄、传承创新，艺术创作健康发展。

成都画院（成都市美术馆）成立以来，先后选送了上千件艺术作品参加国内外各种类型的美术展览，100多人（次）先后获金奖、银奖、文献奖、铜奖、中国油画艺术奖、黄胄美术奖、徐悲鸿美术奖、全国书画院百佳书画家奖、优秀作品奖、佳作奖，以及蒙特卡洛国际现代艺术大展莫纳哥政府奖和法国蒙比利埃“中国当代艺术双年展”新人奖等。特别是五年一届的全国美展，2009年、2014年连续两年我院入选作品数名列全省专业艺术机构之首。成都画院的画家们长期以来坚守艺术的探索和创新，秉着潜心治学的创作精神共同努力，铸就了成都画院在全国的群体创作实力，同时也奠定了成都在全国文化艺术界独有的地位。

艺术交流

我院积极开展各种形式的对外文化交流，多次接待国内外美术家代表团和美术史学者、著名书画家的访问并应邀参加国内外学术访问交流活动。为加强成都对外文化交流与合作，增进全国各大专业画院之间的学术交流，由成都画院发起的“中国大城市专业画院学术联展暨年会”已在成都、石家庄、太原、海口等地连续成功举办，年会已成为全国各大专业画院之间学术交流的平台，也以其高水准、大规模的社会效应，成为中国专业画院的重要学术品牌，正如中国国家画院副院长曾来德表示：“中国大城市专业画院学术联展有望成为中国美术界三大国展之一”。

院藏画

成都画院（成都市美术馆）高度重视书画艺术品的收藏，现已收藏书画作品总计1457件，其中油画作品146幅；国画及书法作品1238幅；版画44幅；多媒体25幅；杂件4件（以上数据截止2013年底）。其中不乏大家作品，市值上亿元。这些藏品不但实现了国有资产的保值增值，提升了成都画院（成都市美术馆）的艺术品味和影响力，也为画院开展学术研究、交流和展览提供了重要保证。

Artistic Creation

Chengdu Art Academy (Chengdu Art Museum) has been established for 35 years, and always adhere to the prosperity of art, creating artistic talents, promoting the art development of Chengdu. As the center of work, "based on the tradition, honor tradition, global perspective, extending individuality" is the basic artistic ideas, and form a good academic atmosphere "pluralistic coexistence, seeking sameness but keeping difference, harmonious coexistence". Artists adapt various kinds of painting, genres, freedom of thought, and promote the healthy development of artistic creation.

Since the inception of Chengdu Art Academy (Chengdu Art Gallery), thousands of art works are selected to participate in various types of art exhibitions at home and abroad, and more than 100 times have won the Gold award, Silver award, literature award, Bronze award, Chinese oil painting Art Award, Huang Zhou Art Award, Xu Beihong Art Award, National academy top artist award, Outstanding Award, honorable Award, as well as Monte Carlo International Modern Art exhibition Mona Ge Government Award and French Montpelier’s "China Contemporary Art Biennial " newcomer award. Especially the five-year term of the National Art Exhibition, we were ranked the first among different province’s professional art institutions in 2009 and 2014. The artists of Chengdu Art Academy have long stick to artistic exploration and innovation, strengthen the reputation of Chengdu Art Academy, and lay the unique position for Chengdu in country's arts and cultural circles.

Art Exchange

We actively carry out various forms of international cultural exchanges, receive the visit of many domestic and foreign artists, art history scholars, the famous painting and calligraphy artists. And we also attend in domestic and international academic exchange activities visits. In order to strengthen international cultural exchange and cooperation of Chengdu, and promote academic exchanges between the country's major professional academy, "Chinese Cities Professional Painting Annual Conference", which is sponsored by the Chengdu Art Academy, has been successfully hold in Chengdu, Shijiazhuang, Taiyuan, Haikou and other places, and the annual meeting has become the academic exchange between the country's major professional academy platform, which is known for its high quality, large-scale social effect, becomes an important academic painting Chinese professional brand. As Zeng Laide said, who is the vice president of National Art Academy, "’Chinese Cities Professional Painting Annual Conference’ is expected to become one of China's three major national arts exhibition."

Paintings Preserved By Chengdu Art Academy

Chengdu Art Academy attaches great importance to the collection of painting and calligraphy art. The current collection of painting and calligraphy works totals 1457 pieces, which respectively include 146 oil paintings, 1238 items of traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy, 44 pieces of engravings, 25 multimedia and 4 miscellaneous pieces (the above data as of the end of 2013). There is no lack of masters’ art works worth hundreds of millions of dollars. These collections not only help to maintain and raise the value of state-owned assets but also promote art taste and influence of Chengdu Art Academy, thus guaranteeing the smooth operation of academic research, exchanges and exhibitions.
